Everything is a story

I grew up in Kashmir and trained as an engineer. Then I spent years chasing the part of the work I actually loved, and slowly figured out it was never the spreadsheet, the code, or the stage. It was the story underneath.

The Blueprint

By day I'm a data architect. I design the data systems a university runs on, and I think in stories, spreadsheets included.

The Classroom

As adjunct faculty and a workshop speaker, my favorite trick is turning technical tangles into plain words. Teaching is how I make sure I actually understand something.

The Studio

If a thing can be turned into a song, give me a minute. Every so often I record one.

The Worlds

I'd rather build the thing than make slides about it, so I built a way to kill the slides: afsana, an app that turns ideas into cinematic, scene-by-scene stories. I also build AI worlds, like a racing game that teaches machine learning.

The Desk

Different rooms, same instinct: take something tangled and tell it as a story someone can actually feel. These days my toughest audience is one year old.
